Jet Carrying US Defense Secretary Required to Touch Down in UK Due to Crack in Windshield

A jet carrying Pete Hegseth was compelled to make an unscheduled landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday after a crack was found in the jet's front window, according to an official announcement which confirmed that the secretary was unharmed.

"The plane touched down following established safety measures and everyone onboard, among them Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a press officer commented in a online announcement.

He was traveling back from a short visit to Brussels when the incident occurred.

This occurrence does not mark the first time that a US military aircraft carrying a high-ranking official has encountered equipment failures.

In a previous incident this year, a American military jet transporting Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was forced to head back to Washington DC after suffering a mechanical fault.
